Castle Dark Announces Major Updates at Midsummer Scream 2025 Panel

The team at Castle Park just announced their next chapter for Castle Dark during their Midsummer Scream panel! For their 2025 haunt season, Castle Dark is pressing the reset button on everything we know.

Meet the Storyteller

The biggest news was the introduction of a new iconic character, The Storyteller. This isn’t just a new face; this character has the power to rewrite history itself, and they’ve used it to erase the previous Castle Dark timeline to create an entirely new experience for us.

Three New Mazes

Feary Tales -pulls guests into a dark collection of corrupted classics, all trapped within the Book of Shadows. You’ll witness once-beloved heroes turn into villains in twisted renditions of tales like The Three Little Pigs, Hansel & Gretel, Goldilocks, and Cinderella. Everything you thought you knew is turned upside down, proving that in this world, a “happily ever after” is just a myth. Featured in the new maze is Thumperton, who was on display in the front lobby at Midsummer Scream.
In Midnight Manor, your ghost-hunting mission to investigate the eerie Midnight Manor turns into a fight for survival when the clock strikes twelve and the house comes to life. As walls begin to shift and vengeful spirits emerge, your team starts to vanish one by one. Now, you must navigate the constantly changing, nightmarish maze and find your way out before you become the manor’s next permanent resident.
In Containment Breach, a seemingly innocent plant shop hides a horrifying secret: it’s a government facility where scientists have been creating dangerous hybrid “plant zombies.” But the experiment has gone wrong, and the deadly creations have broken free, turning the facility into a chaotic, overgrown nightmare. Now, you must navigate through a tangle of killer vines, locked doors, and mutated plant monsters to escape before you’re consumed.

Three New Scare Zones

The Endless Chapter – Within a realm where twisted fairy tales battle for dominance, The Storyteller judges their terrifying conflict, sealing the fate of the losers while allowing the victors to spread chaos for another year.
The Forgotten Kingdom – Cursed to forever roam the earth, the tortured souls of forgotten warriors still seek battle within a kingdom haunted by their ancient, unending war.
Outbreak – tied in with the Containment Breach maze. Rabid plant zombies and creeping vines now lurk everywhere, turning the environment into a living nightmare.
