Six Flags Magic Mountain has officially announced its next major attraction: Thrill Glider, debuting in 2027.
Manufactured by world-renowned coaster manufacturer Vekoma, the ride introduces an entirely new coaster category, the Thrillglider. It combines flying, motorbike, and suspended coaster technologies into one ride. Riders will board prone, face-forward hovercycles suspended beneath the track to simulate high-speed flight.

Upon opening, Thrill Glider will set a collection of records, including:
- World’s First Thrillglider
- World’s First Multi-Launch Thrillglider
- World’s Longest Thrillglider – 3,380 feet, which is more than half a mile
- World’s Fastest Thrillglider – 50 mph
- World’s Tallest Thrillglider – 107 feet
- Most Inversions on a Thrillglider – 5
Ride Experience: Features multiple launches, 20 unique track elements, 12 airtime moments, and 5 inversions (including a zero-g roll and barrel rolls) packed into an 80-second layout.
Tech Upgrades: Synchronized onboard audio, dynamic light effects, and a station fly-by.
Height Requirement: 48 inches, making it accessible for both families and seasoned thrill-seekers.
The Storyline: Entering the World of QuantumPulse
Beyond the physical thrills, the ride places guests inside an optimistic, sci-fi narrative centered on QuantumPulse Propulsion Systems, a visionary technology company led by inventor Rebecca Silva. The journey starts in “The Futurist Pavilion,” a sleek showcase filled with dynamic displays, interactive exhibits, and holographic presentations detailing the discovery of PSR B417, a powerful energy source harvested from space. As riders move through the queue, they will spot massive hexagonal collectors embedded in the hillside actively drawing power from distant pulsars. Inside the launch station, glowing blue energy lines, futuristic architecture, and pulsing atmospheric audio build tension right up to takeoff, where riders feel the raw power of PSR B417 as their hovercycles soar, dive, and swoop through the air.

Construction is already underway for a planned 2027 opening.
